Calculations pertaining to our Milky Way Galaxy suggest the presence of over 40 billion planets with the potential to sustain life.

Beyond this, the vast expanse of galaxies in our universe further underscores the possibility of intelligent species beyond humanity. In the contemporary scientific landscape, researchers are diligently pursuing avenues to detect and communicate with potential extraterrestrial civilizations. These civilizations, having potentially existed for billions of years, could have achieved remarkable advancements in science and technology. Nikolai Kardashev, a distinguished Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, has proposed the existence of an extensive array of ancient alien cultures that may have spanned billions of years. He postulates that regardless of the nature of these civilizations, the fundamental requirement for their sustenance lies in the harnessing of energy.

Nikolai Kardashev

Nikolai Kardashev conducted an investigation that led to the creation of the Kardashev Scale, a classification chart based on the amount of power civilizations utilize. He initially defined four types: Type 0, Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3. However, this scale has been expanded to include up to Type 7 civilizations. Let's delve into what each of these civilizations entails.

Type 0

In this particular type of civilization, energy is sourced from natural resources such as mineral oil, solar power, and wind energy. The Kardashev Scale categorizes civilizations based on their energy generation, with a civilization's type determined by the amount of energy it produces per second. For example, a Type 1 civilization would need to generate energy at a level of 10 to the power of 16 watts per second. According to calculations, our civilization reached a score of 0.72 on the Kardashev Scale in 2018. This suggests that it will take more than 100 years for human civilization to progress to the beginning of the first type.

Type 1

These civilizations rely not solely on natural resources but also harness nuclear energy. While we also employ nuclear energy, the energy we generate falls short of propelling us to a Type I civilization. If we can use nuclear fusion to generate power sustainably, we would be able to create vast amounts of energy. Such a civilization would utilize nuclear energy for transportation and even have the potential to regenerate body parts through advanced technology and science. Additionally, these civilizations have the capability to control planetary weather conditions. They can thrive beneath the sea and in the sky. Unfortunately, it is estimated that it will take us more than 3000 years to achieve the technological advancement of a Type I civilization.

Type 2

This type of civilization is referred to as a stellar civilization. As the Type I civilization approaches its final stages, the energy generated from nuclear reactions might prove insufficient. In the Type II stage, generations harness the power of their nearest star. Freeman Dyson introduced the concept of a Dyson sphere, which could be employed to absorb the energy emitted by stars. Other ideas, such as the Dyson ring, have also emerged. Upon reaching this level of advancement, the ability to travel to any planet within our solar system becomes achievable. This would open up the possibility of establishing new civilizations on these planets. However, the journey to attain this stage is projected to span over a hundred thousand years for us.

Type 3

These advanced societies are known as galactic civilizations, as they harness the collective power of numerous stars strewn across the galaxy, tapping into the energy of not just individual stars. Moreover, these communities utilize anti-gravitational technologies, allowing them to navigate high gravitational fields effortlessly. Their primary mode of transportation, called "worm holes," facilitates seamless travel to any desired destination. However, it's important to note that they lack the ability to create warm holes themselves.

In addition to their impressive technological achievements, members of these civilizations enjoy significantly extended lifespans. The remarkable level of scientific advancement in these cultures far surpasses anything we can conceive.

Type 4

These king of civilizations called Universal Civilization, Type Three generations can use wormholes to travel, although they can't make them. But in this time, they've learned how to create wormholes. The problem is, there isn't enough energy in the galaxy for this. To fix that, they get energy from exploding stars, called supernovae. These big explosions release a ton of energy, like all the energy a star made in its whole life.

In this civilization, beings can leave their bodies, making them live forever. They could even help create other civilizations, like Type 0 civilizations.

Type 5

These civilizations, referred to as 'multiverse civilizations,' harness the extraordinary power of white holes for interdimensional travel across multiple universes. While humanity has yet to discover any white holes, Albert Einstein's calculations hint at their potential existence within the universe. The notion is that upon achieving Type Five status, humanity will possess the capability to locate these elusive white holes. Once found, they could serve as gateways to other universes, unlocking new realms of exploration and knowledge.

Type 6

This type of civilization is referred to as a "Multidimensional civilization." When we attain this level, we could potentially traverse into other dimensions. In this state, we wouldn't possess physical bodies, enabling us to explore time travel. This generation would reach the pinnacle of potential that any organism can achieve. Yet, they would grapple with the ultimate question: the identity of their creator. This inquiry could lead to the emergence of a Type 7 civilization, centered around understanding nature.
